Tandem skydives offer the full skydiving experience without the need for extended classrooms and written exams. On the day of your Skydive your Instructor will brief everything you need to know before your jump, which normally takes around 20 minutes. This will include:
- Tandem Skydiving equipment
- Safety
- Aircraft exit
- Psychological aspects
- Freefall position
- Landing
Tandem jumping uses the dual instruction approach (similar to how you would learn to drive a car), and like your driving instructor, your tandem instructor will be there to back you up through all phases of your skydive. When the time comes to jump, you and your instructor will exit the plane; your heart will be racing, your breathing will have become deeper and your skin will be tingling with excitement. Every part of your body will be feeling the adrenalin rush through your veins as you leave the aircraft and enter the world of freefall, giving you the most memorable experience of your life!
Most people find it amazing that they'll experience total control during their freefall descent. The wind feels more like a cushion of air suspending you in space, and the sensation is more like floating above the planet; and not that you’re about to become part of it!
Your controllability continues during canopy flight as the rectangular shaped parachute; similar to the wing of an aeroplane is completely maneuverable. You'll have an opportunity to steer the parachute, and you'll be amazed at how versatile it is. Take in the scenery with a gentle ride back, or spiral dive through the sky like you’re on a roller coaster – You decide!
Once you are back on earth, you will receive a first jump certificate and all the necessary information on how to become a licensed skydiver. Whether you are planning to become a skydiver or just want to experience the thrill of a lifetime, this is a great introduction into the exciting world of freefall skydiving!!!
